I have the New Year issue of 'TV and Satellite Week' tv guide and in it's upcoming tv shows for 2014, it mentions that 'The Suspects' is due to air in January. There was only a picture of Fay Ripley and the blurb doesn't reveal anything that we don't already know but i thought it interesting that, unless a typo, the show seems to have undergone a brief change of name.
On imdb it is still cited as 'Evidence' which is a little irksome.
The press release from Fremantle deffo gives 'Suspects' as the name of the drama, but perhaps a new press release is imminent.
Hmmmm..... I wonder if, as feb 1st is a saturday, they think of that as being part of the schedule for the last week of Jan? (not sure if that makes sense?) Feb 1st is only 5 weeks away though - now christmas is over I'm getting impatient for some promo stuff......!!
Domino - in the Molony Memories article, you've said that they are 1hr episodes - but I can't find that info anywhere...? Hope they are - 10 hrs of Damien on my tv will be an excellent start to 2014 (grrr for comercial tv, though - ads will take up about 15 mins of each ep!)

I did say that didn't I, but cannot recall where I read it - not in any of the press releases so perhaps if it was just in an article somewhere that is not correct. Thank you for pointing it out.

The new 'suspects' entry for imdb doesn't show an air date......and I think the imdb entry for 'evidence' was the only place the 1st Feb was mentioned? So it looks like we may be back to that vague ' 1st quarter 2014'......... (taps foot impatiently!)
Absolarrylutely Su! Also.... I recall when we were all so frustrated about the Ripper Street air date and wanting it to come as soon as possible, and for me in retrospect woud actually have preferred them to have waited so there were no schedule clashes and it could have remained in its Sunday slot. Because looked what happened there.
I would far rather Channel 5 find the perfect slot for Suspects!
Can I just repeat......"10 whole episodes of damo as a lead character!!" It'll absolutely be worth the wait....

Well I was reading Woman magazine last night and inside is a very small interview with Fay Ripley. At the bottom of said interview it has the blurb about Suspects beginning "Wednesday" meaning Jan 29th. This made me curious. I checked my TV guide for next week and they have the Celebrity Big Brother final listed for what I would assume would be the most suitable timeslot (9pm) . The CBB final was supposed to be today (Friday) but for god knows why c5 in their infinite wisdom extended that rubbish til Jan 29tg so I'm wondering whether Suspects will now premiere on Feb 5th. Just a guess. Have tweeted Woman magazine to ask whether they know something we don't because channel 5 haven't even announced when Suspects will be shown and I've also tweeted channel five asking whether they know when it will be shown. Neither have for back yet.
So maybe in a couple of weeks time we'll be having a "Weston Wednesday" ;)
