Damien has kindly posed for some gorgeous close-ups again, taken by our very own Mr Photographer Trevor Blackman, who was at the Gate theatre last night with forumers London Laura, Pradakat and Brookesey to see 'The Body Of An American'.
With huge thanks to Trev for once again bringing us the best and most stunning portraits of Damien, and allowing us to share them.
**Please note: these photos belong to Trevor Blackman Photography, who has given us kind permission to share them. Please respect his copyright and do not copy them or post any where else. However, please feel free to share them BY POSTING A LINK TO THIS FORUM TOPIC. thanks!**
I promise I'll post more later (this is a quick "smash and grab" of a logon), but look at the DIMPLES! I never realised how many he had til I saw the play last night!
He's a beautiful, beautiful man, and I look like a crazed loon, but c'est la vie! Lol. Trev wasn't able to use my phone properly, so I was able to stand there with his arm round me for ages! *le sigh*
Oh, and he was moaning about the beard being itchy and wanting to shave it off. He also made some comment about The Witches book/film, but can't remember what he actually said! Brookesey will probably remember more.
I've been so busy trying to present these pics, in the fansite feature and here at the forum that I've not actually sat a gazed.
WOW.
Stunning! and so smiley, lovely lovely pics! Thank you Trev for doing it again! and cannot wait to hear your story from last night Laura, Kat and Brookesey!
The pictures are wonderful, as always and i agree, that beard looks super itchy, as an aside, my husband doesn't like not to shave, he shaves every single day even if he isn't going anywhere because he says, for him, even a stubble is itchy so i can imagine that thick beard must be a pain in the butt for Damien to cope with.
I especially love the pictures with Damien and Prada and Laura and Brookesey.
These candid shots are so endearing. The contrast between him now with fans (at least this group he's come to know) and the Traveling Light photos is quite strong. Back then he had an air of wariness and uncomfortableness. Now he looks completely at ease, like he's just talking with good friends. He's very lovely, you gals look fantastic, and the pictures themselves are just gorgeous. Thank you for sharing!

Well said whimsy
Damien was never wary around forumers or BH bloggers back in the day, he was always super friendly at TL stage doors! Agree that he has gotten to know familiar faces over the years though and hopefully has come to trust his most dedicated fanbase.
He was lovely in Newcastle, but there weren't so many people hanging around at the stage door and i'm pleased to hear that he hasn't lost that. With the strange person at the Word Theatre and BFI thing, it could've gone the other way but i'm happy to hear that it hasn't.
Prada: I'm curious about The Witches comment, whatever it was. That was the book that made me realise how much my daughter enjoyed being read to, the first multi chapter book we read (she was five) and it is a hoot of a book. Having to read a character who pronounced all of her 'w's' as 'v's' was a challenge my daughter found hilarious.
I'm just always vicariously blown away by Damien's grace and genorisity at stage doors after a performance, especially one as intense as this, sans interval!!! From the stories I have heard and the photos I have seen over the years, he is alway very sincere, patient and interested, and puts people at ease. It is lovely.
