I hadn't thought about the fact that it's usually Jack and Charlie on the roof....interesting that Martha was there on her own when Jack went to find her. I agree about the shift in dynamics - Martha seemed far more involved in this ep..and, as I said before, Martha (Fay) completely came into her own.....she really did seem to be in charge in this ep.
I know I've said this before...but the development of this series from the 1st ep to the last is just phenomenal....and I'm really, truely excited for the next series
Yeah, the rooftop scenes are really the only glimpse that we get of them 'outside' the work environment....I hope that they decide to develop that aspect a little more. Not sure I want to see their private lives at all, but those insights are precious
agree fifi, one would think that the self contained by episode nature of the show would mean no development or character / series arc. but there was!
and as we have said before, the lack of external context for the characters makes the little glimmers we do get, from their approaches and interactions with each other, all the more precious. the fact that so little has been revealed and so much remains undiscovered about the 3 detectives makes the show even more galvanising and cannot wait for its return!
I would love to know how long the next series is going to be...it is, presumably, going to be more than 5 eps - I wonder if it will be the full 10 eps like we were originally supposed to have.
And I'd like to know whether s3(?) is going to air in the spring next year...or whether we'll then have to wait until the autumn...
