I've been enjoying the National Theatre archive:

Archive | National Theatre | South Bank, London

Prior to their live broadcasts, they started recording productions back in the 90s I think. Earlier ones tend to be a camera at the back at the auditorium with a few close ups thrown in, but they're still worth seeing if there's something you missed.

And the V&A have quite a few recordings, for prosperity's sake. Good quality too:

The National Video Archive of Performance - Victoria and Albert Museum

They're free and the NT is easy to use, just email them. You need to join the library at the V&A but once you get used to them and their swipe cards to go to the loo then they're fine.

I've thoroughly enjoyed what I've watched so far. Will be returning to both when I can.

Not easy for those of us unable to get to London very often.
