Rosie - there was a lot unsaid in that scene, but I am still left with the overriding feeling that the understanding was mostly on Charlie's part. It was Jack who was struggling though so that makes sense... if the situation were reversed who knows how either would be ?
I agree domino. Charlie understood that she wouldn't get an apology from him but I think that Jack understood that she had come to find him and understood that she didn't blame him for his behaviour.
Just one last thought - Jack (usually) has pretty good instincts when it comes to suspects....but I agree - I'm not sure that he's so well tuned in when it comes to his collegues....
my last thoughts are... these episodes were so cleverly written, layered and action packed that even after several re-watches i am still unpicking it and seeing new things.
The added emphasis on jack added depth to his character and ambiguity too... and great moments of Damien performance. personally I would not want Suspects to totally compromise and become like every other cop show going home with the detectives and have lots of personal life and outside work info for our characters... these 'golden nuggets' are perfect and all the more valuable because they are far and few between.
This double bill shed light on mental health issues as well, and the prejudices around them.

Night night everyone! Another great Jack Chat. Just glad i managed to join in. My phone literally took 5 mins to post and then another 5 mins to refresh! And I got thrown off the internet about 6 times!
I'm doing jury service at the moment and we had to read the transcript of a police interview which of course made me think of Jack! These police didn't swear once!
