I love long audio books but seems to take me forever to listen to whole of the story... I'd love a mixture of long (5+ hours) and shorter (1.5 hours) if I was allowed to be greedy...
Possibly daft question from a technophobe, pondering buying the book to put on my tablet, initially looking says comes in a zip file, previously only downloaded from itunes on phone and few things onto Samsung tablet via Google Play, is it exactly the same or would i need to 'convert' it, and if so what do i need to download? Love waffling but not very technical.
Kallie what I did was download it onto my PC and unzip it, which gives you the individual .mp4 files that iTunes or any audio player will automatically recognize. I tried downloading to my android phone and unzipping with app called winrar, but couldn't figure out a way to play the files. I use Google Music on my phone, so upload the audio files from my PC and then open the Google Music app on my phone and play it that way. On iPhone I tried many times to download and play audio files I would email myself but that doesn't work. You have to open iTunes on computer, add them to your library, the connect your phone and sync to iTunes. I hated that. I much prefer having my music in my computer, uploading it to the Google Music, and then just having access to it on any device.

Well, I have this on CD so I didn't have to worry about downloading. I love it definitely a Halloween treat! I have a slight problem with my eyesight so it was suggested I should try audio books, but that proved to be a disappointment - most of them are read far too slowly or with intonation I don't 'hear' when reading to myself and it just drove me mad. I thought it would be like 'A book at bedtime' etc on radio 4 but no. However, the speed Damien reads 'Raven' is just right and as for all the different characters he portrays - perfect. The story is just up my street, too. I only wish he would do a few more audio books as they would probably be the only ones I would buy (starting with a poetry CD).
Damien does a fantastic job reading this story. I listened to it all in one sitting! I'd love lots more audio books from Damien and a poetry CD would be a fantastic idea, Ellie.
I'm glad you agree it is a Halloween treat too ellie, Raven is not horror, more a mystical story, but the other worldly elements are also there. I remember the TV programme which could give a visual to some of that.
Definitely was a cute/good story and Damo did a fantastic job of reading it. His character voice range is impressive. Even the female ones.
I really hope he does more audiobooks. And SOON!
