This is the interview where Damien gave these brilliant and memorable inspirational quotes about acting....
when you’re on stage a deep breath is very much physicalized and in the body, whereas you can almost breathe through your eyes on television..
Never be afraid to mess it up and work as hard as you possibly can. Those are two things I try and live by every day.
A great actor is a great listener. And that’s something I am learning. Listening is the key. You can’t react truthfully unless you listen. If I could have brought that to every show I’ve done so far I would sleep easier at night. Listen every day. Just as the curtain comes up, I always say “listen”.
I already admired Damien for his acting gift, how natural he is at donning a personna and giving his characters such depth. But when I read this article (two years ago) and learned about the year he spent building up his portfolio to get into drama school, I came to appreciate just how dedicated he is to his craft, to appreciate his work ethic. He's not in the business to "become a movie star". This is truly a calling for him. And we get to reap the fruits of his labours. Lucky us that he didn't give up on his dream, that he has such passion and awareness.

Oh this is a fantastic interview! Unlike virtually everything else in this thread it seems like an absolute age since I first read it! So much has happened in the meantime. How I wish Damien would do another interview like this one now!
Crossing fingers he goes on James Corden's show for KYF. And surely when Tiger Raid comes out there will be some?

I'm 100% sure that those biscuits made it! And on this day year ago, I met Damien first time at the Suspects filming set while they filmed season 2! Already one year....
Somehow every time I see this pic I feel nauseated at first while looking that wound and blood.. Then I realize I have been looking that pic for like 30 sec and drooling on my laptop.. Perhaps there's a little vampire living inside me
Or then it is just that he's lifting his shirt....
I don't mind the blood and dirt. It didn't make me cringe at all. Hmmmm... That photo is sexy and I'm pretty sure those underpants aren't part of the costume.
He loves black underwear, doesn't he? Not that I'm complaining!

I still can't believe this was 2 years ago..... When I see a pic like this out of context I only ever find myself marvelling at how awsome it is that they can make a hole in somebody looks so convincing!
The more I think about it the more convinced I am that is its one of our biscuits that DaMo was eating in Suspects. I'm pretty confident that this would have been filmed just after they recieved them, and so it would be odd if he was eating a different biscuit! And I love the way he does the little glance over his shoulder towards the camera....it feels like an acknowledgment - even if it wasn't meant to be!

it's such a nice thought isn't it...shall we make it so? (even if it isn't!)
The timing is totally right in fact... and the biscuit does look gingery. Heh, we'd make great detectives right?
This is a very special memory for me, Suspects Series Producer extraordinaire Kara Manley invited me to the set in London and to meet everyone, but due to my health condition it sadly (oh torture!) wasn't possible, but I was thrilled we were able to do it by Facetime instead!
I cannot find where I wrote about this amazing experience on the forum, so forgive me if this is a repeat.
It was during the last week of filming and to say things were hectic would be an understatement. I was shown the entire building top to bottom, with all its many floors and the famous rooftop (apart from a floor for the supporting and guest cast).
We began in the corridor and interview room 1, then the editing suite and monitor of interview room cameras, the soft interview area with sofas, interview room with the harsh cameras with the greenish light and glass outside, the grill (where Jack smoked) and the car park area outside, then on to the main office, Jack and Charlie's desk, another desk where extras sit, Martha's office (which looked bigger), the green evidence board, (with spoilers!) the whiteboard, the rooftop area and the stunning views of Bethnal green and the city, ans the famous steps Jack sits on, we 'ran' up and down the stairs and stairwell where jack and Charlie have dashed up and down on. So thrilling to see it all!
I also waved to Clare Ashitey who was on her break at the front of the building and said a quick hello to Damien
They were super busy, penultimate day of filiming I think and were on minus time, a fact which was not lost on me and I felt very priveleged.
