So this summer I am taking an online course called TCM Presents Into the Darkness: Investigating Film Noir. Of course I love old movies but film noir has always been a bit tricky for me to delve into, but when this opportunity came along I just had to take it.
I was curious to see if any of you like film noir or if any of you had advice on taking an online class since this will be my first.

Don't know much about film noir to be honest, but done loads of OU courses... They are good, self explanatory, help available when needed... So I guess just follow guide lines regarding time should take over things (to start with anyway, and not to rush) and enjoy...
That sounds really interesting, fortunato. I hope you enjoy it :) Did a little bit about Film Noir when I did my degree. All I can remember is about Femme Fatales. They always wear red lipstick!
I've done online courses with the OU too and I found it straight forward and enjoyable.
