whimsy, the combination of Gus Van Sant and Jenji Kohan as well as that mega cast, with actors well loved here and across the pond, suggest to me it won't be too niche, and will at the very least attract a wide audience. besides so called niche shows don't always do too badly.....

Also, I think niche shows tend to draw more dedicated fans.
