The Aliens thing seems more like Damien's style but it would be something different to see him in a sit com. But as you say domino it could be something completely unknown as yet.
But I though this was a nicely worded bit from below “It's about that time in your life when the reality of being an adult kicks you hard in the crotch," said a statement from E4. "This time you’re not someone’s kid, you’re not a student, and you’re not fresh out of uni. This time you’re a grown up."
Truth.

It's felt rather impatient and demanding of me when we're still waiting to see the so much stuff that Damien's already completed......but I have been longing to hear that he's working on something else. It may well mean no more Suspects (and no more Flight....for the next series at least - as long as Ripper Street keeps running, I think there is always a possiblilty of his return!) but there always seems to be something fresh and exciting about everything which Damien becomes involved in....so whatever this turns out to be - I can't wait to find out!
I also can't help wondering what he's been up to for the last 3(?) months, since The Hard Problem finished. I mean - any sane person would have kicked back and taken a break after working as hard as he has over the last 18 months or so....but - in Damien's own words "I just love working.....". Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Hmmm... in the panel interview didn't Damien say he begins on this new project "I'm about to start a comedy drama for E4 next month" or was it "next Monday?"
I'm pretty sure he said "next month" domino, but the sound quality wasn't brilliant, and I did only get to listen to it once. As somebody who regularly doesn't know what day of the week it is I'm not taking that, or what the interviewer said, too literally anyway. Even if he's going to be in something which starts filming today, that doesn't necessarily mean that HE starts filming today....and in any case if he does start filming this week, the majority of filming would still be in September.....
Either way - it's happening soon! And hopefully we'll hear more about it....soon!!
That has to be it! At lest the timing sums up and the genre. Crashing.. So this comedy is about people who are going to spend nights in different places exchange for watching over the property? Sounds interesting I could imagine Damien in something like this...
"The series will go into production in London over the summer to broadcast next year."
I'm impatient person when it comes Damien's work but he has been active and there is still lots of his work to see so maybe I can handle this little more waiting..
But I hope this will be the start of DaMo's comedy career!
I had a wild dream that Damien was doing stand up comedy and I would just love to see him doing something like this more cause he's so incredibly talented in impro and he's so very funny and knows how to handle live audience too.
I have a feeling this is going to be very good and worth waiting
We were speculating about 'Crashing', but I just posted a tweet from today (in my last post) which mentions the main cast and Damien's name is not mentioned. So far anyway. So... could it be 'Aliens' ?
Damien likes scifi so that option has strong changes too. I only now noticed to watch the name list, so maybe they forgot to mention his name or it is the Aliens?
Aliens" filming starts later this year too sooo... Maybe. I was first thinking that could be Crashing, cause it sounds more like something Damien would want be in.
But maybe comedy "Aliens" will feed his nerdy side of him (I mean, he clearly loves scifi cause he has been tweeting about Star Wars and Aliens (film).
Well, Damien has always surprised me and I wouldn't wonder if he could surprise me again with something like this.
Comedy itself sounded exciting and new for him, but if the content of the comedy is aliens he would surprise me more
Not a peep on either of the comedy dramas we have mooted as possibles for Damien - apart from that tweet I posted last week announcing Janie Dee and Adrian Scarborough for 'Crashing', although that doesn't necessarily exclude Damien.
We need some of DaMo's cryptic clues!!!
I'm torn between almost wanting it to be something completely different - something that we don't know anything about - and being taken totally by surprise when we eventually find out....and being desperate to know now!!!
