Channel 4 have released new cast interviews with a thrilling first look behind the scenes of Crashing.
Damien’s upcoming comedy drama is Crashing on to our TV screens in just one week!
The brand new show, written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, focuses on the lives and loves of a group of twenty-something adults living together as property guardians in a disused hospital.
A Channel 4 extra released today gives us our first glimpse of the fab filming location, as well as first interviews with the lead cast, Waller-Bridge (Lulu), Damien (Anthony), Louise Ford (Kate), Jonathan Bailey (Sam), Amit Shah (Fred), Adrian Scarborough (Colin) and Julie Dray (Melody).
Damien plays Anthony in the comedy and in his interview clips he reveals more about his character and his experience of filming the show:
I play Anthony, the chef. I am engaged to Louise’s character Kate and we’re in a very happy, very pleasant relationship. Then my great childhood friend, Lulu, comes to say with us and that throws a spanner in the works slightly.”
We’re filming in Whitechapel, the old Royal London Hospital…It gives rise to so many fantastic laugh out scenes.. in our bedroom, for instance we’re in a surgery, so they have these amazing lights that you can reach around and move at any angle… it’s very, very clever”
It’s been such a fun four weeks, the only problem that I’ve had really is trying not to laugh during scenes and I hope that’s a sign of how funny this show is.”
The more we see of Crashing, the more we like, and cannot wait for what look set to be a hilariously cool comedy. Bring on the LOLs!

From Phoebe: There's one sex scene which I think is my favourite scene. The commitment of the two actors to this particular scene had my crying with laughter...
I'm loving EVERYTHING I've heard and seen on this show and Damien's role!!!! Looks so cute and funny and looks like they had the time of their lives filming. I can imagine how hard it was for him not to laugh. Loving all his looks, all the fun Tshirts. My favorite thing about this intro video is seeing the behind the scenes with the camera's set up. The makeup girl fiddling with his hair... They must have pulled him in from filming the outdoor topless scene to do the interview.
ONLY 1 WEEK!!!!!!!

Had to download All just to be able to see the interviews - so glad I did. Being a Guardian is the kind of thing I would have loved to do when I was younger - perfect for a history buff like me.
Can't believe they filmed the whole thing in only 4 weeks - but I suppose Damien is used to a quick turnaround with 'Suspects'.

This is a fantatic little glimpse behind the scenes. Is it just my imagination or is Damien in this more than any of the others?? You'd think they might have found a shirt for him to wear tho.......
I love that Damien often says 'I' when he's talking about his characters.....
I wish I could get the interview to actually play. It asks me to accept that it contains adult content. I do an it never plays. Is it just for UK audience? It doesn't give me that message. I looked for it on Youtube but could not find it. :(
