So, what else should you catch? Let’s start with the Tom Hanks film, based on the Eggers book, A Hologram for the King screening April 20 and 21. We’re excited for Pistol Shrimps and Aubrey Plaza, with several showtimes. Our documentary pick is probably Bad Rap, featuring a charming look at Asian hip-hop artists. And thriller fans should grab a pass to see Tiger Raid, a tense Iraq-set action flick on April 17th, 18th, or 22nd.

Ah...this is so close I can almost taste it!! I'm so excited you'd think I was going to see it myself! I'm really hoping we get some news about tonight's premier and I'm looking forward to hearing lots of (positive, obviously!) comments about this film....

I feel the same fifi! It has been a long and exciting journey since first speculation then confirmation of the film, with eager anticipation being fuelled along the way! Damien, co-stars and all the creatives involved deserve this amazing moment! Fingers crossed for some red carpet action, for them and for us!
I should probably post this in the interviews, and possibly the reviews topics....but this is kinda the current news thread so I'm going to stick it in here!!
A lovely little interview with Damien and Brian Gleeson about Tiger Raid from Tribeca.
"TIGER RAID is a film that needs to be seen and then discussed. It is beautifully shot, the storyline is intense and shocking and the cast pulls it all together and presents the audience with something absolutely stellar."
"We are all looking for original film making in the mix of makes, remake, and reimagings. There is such intensity in TIGER RAID that is wrapped up in fantastic performances. When a film comes along that brings out such dark emotions, then it’s a film that needs to be talked about to the rafters."
I saw these tweets too domino....it's really frustrating knowing that it happened without being able to see/hear any of it. I wonder if anyone filmed it. It would be great even to just be able to read a transcript!!
