I prefer the previous images with Joe and Paddy dissipating like sand in the breeze. This communicates disjoint; the other ones communicated unraveling.

Think I'm inclined to agree with whimsy - in a straight up comparison I preferred the 'dissipating like sand in the breeze' version......but this is still a very powerful image - I'd love one too! It does communicate disjoint....maybe that's more appropriate for the film. The other had a hint of romanticism about it and I'm guessing there's not going to be anything romantic about this film.
The word that immediately came to mind when first seeing this poster? Fractured. It's a potent impression of the increasingly fractured relationship between Paddy and Joe that we have read about in the synopsis. Does the fact that the distort is mainly over Joe's head suggest something about his state of mind too? I think so. It's a disturbing deep image, impactful and fully symbolic of the film.
Fifi, disjoint is a great word, and yes! totally agree about the romanticism. Now you mention it, in terms of film genre Tiger Raid is going to be the total polar opposite to a romantic comedy.
