Our fave actor announced his arrival in New York yesterday by sharing another breathtaking new promo for the film. The latest image does a great job of showing off his character Paddy’s gun(s) as well as conveying the tone of the dark thriller.
We’ve also had first words from Damien on the movie, in a brief excerpt which succinctly describes the reality of his time ‘shooting’ in the Jordanian desert. It also confirms he was hands on with weapon handling and that shots are fired during the film – intriguing to learn in light of the first official clip showing his character aiming a gun.
Following unique invitations from the film company to an advanced press screening, first words from the critics have also been shared. According to early reports, Tiger Raid is on target for a great reception at Tribeca.
One way to get my attention is to send me a bullet in the mail. Will do my best to see Tribeca entry TIGER RAID... pic.twitter.com/pACFYXTiLC
The film also features on Truly Nets must see list, who recommend “thriller fans should grab a pass to see Tiger Raid, a tense Iraq-set action flick.”
Tiger Raid premieres in the Midnight strand at the Tribeca Film Festival this Sunday 17 April, with two further screenings 18 and 22 April. The film’s ‘big guns’, cast and creators are heading to New York for the event and tickets are still available to the public, so you could be there too!
We don’t want to jump the gun, but get the feeling Tiger Raid is going to blow everyone away. We look forward to hearing more from Tribeca, watch this space for news as we get it!
Tiger Raid is directed by Simon Dixon, produced by Gareth Coulam Evans and Samson Films, written by Mick Donnellan, Simon Dixon and Gareth Coulam Evans and exec produced by Aporva Baxi.
