Danny Dempsey is heading to the US via Acorn TV!

The streaming service is premiering Clean Break series 1 on 23 May 2016.

Car dealer Frank Mallon (Adam Fergus, Being Erica) is watching his life fall apart around him. His wife has left, his cars aren’t selling, and his teenage daughter is out of control. When bank manager Desmond Rane (Aidan McArdle, Mr. Selfridge, The Duchess) tells Frank he’s in financial trouble and about to lose everything, Frank devises a plan to fix his money problems while also getting revenge on the people who make his life miserable. Nice trailer.  I'd forgotten how claustrophobic Clean Break's look and sound is. Hope it is well received.

I am surprised it hasn't technically shown in the UK.

 Well, you can watch it on YouTube if you know it's there, but it hasn't been on UK tv at all. Watched the DVDs  with my daughter  when she was up at Easter and both she and my grandson were blown away. Most of RTE isn't shown in the UK but many of the actors are seen on both sides of the water. I think it will go down well in the USA.

So it's coming to the US via Acorn before being shown in the UK?  Weird.  I'm glad I subscribed to Acorn even though I've already seen this and Suspects.  My mom is also loving Acorn.  It's been well work the extra $5/month for her.

Not long now until Clean Break premieres in the US!

And Acorn TV are releasing the DVD (region 1 America & Canada) 23 August - info via Amazon.com

(But the original DVD is all region so this seems a bit odd)
