Suspects Series 5 premieres in the UK 10pm Weston Wednesday 3 August! 

AND

Suspects 5.01 is called 'The Enemy Within'

(According to Digiguide)

Excellent news!!  That's only another 2 weeks to wait.  I was hoping that it would be August but very pleased that it's going to be so soon!  Kinda glad we're keeping Weston Wednesdays.....I had wondered if the day might change.

'The Enemy Within'....interesting.  And maybe a little bit worrying considering what we've seen on the trailer......

We now have two synopses for episode 1!

Official synopsis

 

The series opens with Jack receiving a phone call that makes his blood run cold. Detective Inspector Martha Bellamy has been shot dead in her bed. DCI Daniel Drummond heads the investigation, bringing in Roscoe and Brooks from Major Crimes to help. Drummond warns Charlie not to overstep the mark in their quest to find the killer, but the volatile Jack has no such qualms. Can Charlie keep him under control?

 

Radio Times synopsis

 

DS Charlie Steele must keep DS Jack Weston under control as they investigate the murder of a detective inspector, who has been shot dead in her bed. DCI Daniel Drummond heads the investigation, bringing in DS Alicia Brooks and DC Gary Roscoe from Major Crimes to help, but there is shock in store when it turns out one of the detectives knows more about the murder than they are letting on.

 

The Radio Times also confirms series 5 comprises 6 episodes!
