HOLY F***ING AMAZING COVER! He's getting all the attention on that cover, as he should!
I'd thought perhaps I'd wait in case I could see it at the cinema when in London in a few weeks, but HELL NO, I can't even wait that long! I pre-ordered it and treated myself to priority shipping. Because I need some amazing DaMo goodness ASAP. Plus, if I let it ship standard, it most likely would arrive while I'm away!
I am a bit disappointed it's not available as a Blu Ray.

No sign of a TR blu-ray whimsy and Ellie, but it is available in HD on iTunes! Available to pre-order from yesterday! And I am wondering if it may be available on other VOD platforms too...
I've just been on to Amazon - they'd charged me the old price and it's a fiver cheaper under price guarantee for pre-order. Took me a few minutes to get the customer service person to understand, but the difference is now being refunded - she said it should never have happened and was a glitch in the system.
I would suggest everyone who has pre-ordered from Amazon check - the old price was £12.99, the new one is £7.99.
The two deleted scenes are an exciting addition (imo every dvd should have extras!). I do find myself wondering why either of them were deleted as both of them definitely add an extra dimention.
The semtex scene is funny....and it kind of ties in when Paddy tells Dave 'I have it in the truck' in the scene by the lake and the reveal of the suicide vest. I had been wondering what he had in the truck but by the time it came out that got a bit lost in the turmoil. Seeing that deleted scene tied it all together for me!
In the final credits there is the shot of a crucifix...which struck me because there aren't any overt references to religion in the entie film - although there is undeniably an underlying theme of damnation and redemption. Again I think this scene actually offers an interesting insight into both Joe and Paddy's views.
Has to be said that I prefer the earlier 'prototype' version. I prefer the less processed - more realistic - look of it. But having actually seen the film I must admit that I feel the actual cover is somewhat misleading to the nature of the film....the inclusion of helecopters very much gives the impression that this is a war film.

Agree about the DVD covers fifi, there are no helicopters in this film and its not an action, or war film at all.
Both deleted scenes add more to the existing story and particularly 'Semtex' - it is very much worth getting the DVD to watch them.
Jo wears the crucifix, but it only becomes visible in his final shots..(trying not to give spoilers in this topic but I think we see the chain before then but the crucifix is hidden.)
