As well as being a talented actor of TV and film, Damien has an incredible theatre portfolio!
Here's a celebration of all his theatre projects from 2010 to present day.
See if you can name them all!
If you have been lucky enough to see Damien in theatre, come and share your experience! And if you have been lucky enough to see him several times on stage, what has been your favourite production / performance of his?
It's wonderful to see all these pictures together. We're very lucky that Damien is still involved with theatre giving fans who live nearby the chance to see him perform in person. And very grateful to NTL for broadcasting some of Damien's plays around the world for those who live further afield.
I've been lucky enough to see Damien twice on stage; The Body of an American and The Hard Problem. For the sheer intimacy and emotional intensity my favourite would have to be The Body of an American. It really was unforgettable seeing Damien's performance up close.
What an exciting theatre montage that makes! Yes I can name all of them ....except there's one that I'm not sure about - and it's the same one which I got wrong in the quiz a couple of years ago so I really should know!!
I've been lucky enough to see 4 stage productions that Damien has been in...but I have to agree with rosie - The Body of an American was an experience, not just a show - and will be pretty hard to beat.....
Just realised I've seen 5 stage productions.....but I didn't actually see Traveling Light on stage....just the NT live recording...
I guess I'm off to wander around the theatre topic to confirm what that pesky picture is from......I may be sometime

He he!
Oooh! Noone has managed a clean sweep of all the photo clues for Damo's theatre work yetl!
there are a few tricky ones in there, but all the clues are on the forum (somewhere!)
which always seems to get me stumped! I don't know why....maybe because - great as this pic is - some of the other pics from that production are a bit more....memorable for me. But I now have it firmly embedded in my brain that it's from King Lear!
(pssst - Josie....last row 4th pic is another one from Riders to the Sea )
It's lovely to see that one from A Cure for a Cuckold again. I know it's on the forum somewhere, but I can't find it! I guess it's buried in the Galleries somewhere......Do we know who he played? It still makes me feel....feelings That picture alone makes it a production that I wish I'd got to see.... And Tis Pity She's a Whore .....And King Lear too obvs.
It's interesting that the three productions which i would love to have seen Damo in are all 17th century plays and were all - I think - performed within a fairly short space of time. Everything he's done on stage since has been bang up to date. No Man's Land may have been a revival, but it's still a modern play. I do wonder how much that is his decision and how much it is just what's come up. But I am very much looking forward to seeing him play Ian McKellen's recommentation of Richard II
Hmmm...I may have just hijacked this thread as an excuse to post a selection of favourite pics.....
Hehe..never mind. So i can see my favourite photo a little better. I know only a little about his plays. But i love that photo because it is the same gesture as in one of my favorite scenes from series 5 Being Human. The great speech for tom about the monster inside. I love that scene.
