Do the characters have the same names Sana? And does 'Jack' have the same level of sass? Is he as much of a maverick? I must admit I'd e curious to watch it... but can't get over that they have the exact same storylines, using the same format but with different cases and with different actors to create a German version makes some kind of sense but to use the same ones....?
I wondered if they had made season 6, would Jack have had a promotion to DI. Don 't know how I would take Jack in total charge.
Imagine Jack in a suit (of course he would look awesome) but I love Jack in his casuals. Jack dealing with the hierarchy of the police. Police budgets. I think he'd hate it.

Jack in a suit? I'm imagining it Ann! But he would have to wear a blue shirt
At the end of series 5 Alisha Brook (played by the lovely Lenora Crichlow, Damien's former Being Human co-star) had been promoted to DI, if memory serves, with Charlie up for taking her Sergeant's exam. Jack was totally skating too close to the edge to be promoted... it always feels like he's hanging on to his job by his fingernails as it is. And we wouldn't want him any other way!
Also if it came back there would be a two to three year jump, so anything could have happened.
The important thing is if it does come back then it's very important that

If they did bring Suspects back, there is one important thing for me. I hope they do not bring the daughter back.
I'm sorry, but I did not like her introduction, she was not needed. Jack was such a fantantic and interesting character, he didn't need this girl.
I didn't like what she did to his character. I loved how much Jack cared about the innocent people who had been hurt. That's why he go so angry when people lied to him. Then this girl comes along and he seemed to me to not care as much (poor Jimmy).
I know some will have liked seeing that side of Jack. But I didn't.

I quite liked seeing that side of Jack, but I couldn't see the daughter staying with him for any length of time. I rather 'suspect' (sorry, couldn't resist) that Jack would be a quite strict dad when it came to where she was and who she was with and Lucy seemed used to doing her own thing. Don't think Jack would be happy with her coming and going as she pleased. But, as Ann said, any new series would be a few years later and she would be away at uni most of the time. We don't usually see any of our favourite crime fighters at home, anyway.
I wasn't keen on Alisha, to be honest, couldn't really see Jack working with her - her comment on Jack being allowed to keep his job was quite telling. The only one of the newbies I liked was Gary, I thought he fitted in really well with both Charlie and Jack.
I was okay with Alisha. She was a total different type of cop to Jack, probably always kept to the rules, never going off piste. where as Jack, well lets be honest, we liked it better when he skated on thin ice. And she must have been a pretty decent cop if she managed to hide the fact she was investigating Drummond for years. And once Jack realised she was on his size, he was perfectly fine with her.
I loved Gary too.
As for the daughter, yes she might be at University (hopefully Australia)

I loved seeing Lenora and Damien on screen together again, and like Alisha, she was a necessary force to stabilize the increasing chaos in Jack's life. The contrast between their characters and working styles, as well as the circumstances with Jack and team Losing Martha, made for some pretty tense and compelling dynamics. Such intense and addictive drama. The case being as it was meant they worked through their volatile dynamics pretty quickly and were more unified towards the end. I looked forward to seeing them going forward as a team!
Jack's daughter Lucy was a victim of some pretty horrible circumstances, who just met her Dad. And Jack, had just met his daughter. I felt for her and for Jack and only hope for them.
