Damien is the reader on BBC Radio 3 programme Literary Pursuits, Jame Joyce's Dubliners The programme will air 10 pm Tuesday 29 August 2017, but apparently first aired in 2016 (how did we miss it!) It is a fascinating story about Joyce's collection of short stories and the extraordinary lengths he went to to publish it, well worth the listen. Damien reads Joyce's correspondence about 'Dubliners' not the text itself. AND IS AVAILABLE TO LISTEN NOW! Fascinating to think how much the publishing landscape has changed, just imagine somebody like Irvine Welsh existing if he was faced with the kind of thing Joyce struggles against here! __________________

I hope everyone has had a chance to listen to this programme. (The BBC radio iplayer stream works internationally too!)
