So funny, felt so sorry for Rob, he was so nervous. He really wanted to take things slow, didn't he?
I was quite expecting the end, noticed the bag hanging on the clothes book opposite the door.
It packed a lot into a short time.
Well noticed Ellie, I was a bit too distracted to see that! Haha yes Rob's nerves and Jamie's impatience made for so many comedy moments! The Morrison's sandwiches bit! And so much tension! lol
Wooo!!! My first post, very exiting. It's ok I can handle semi nudity and a hot man in very tight undies. Very funny and entertaining. Hopefully he will find his dream man. I just don't think it's Jamie.
It's a massive credit to Damien, that he has this talent to play all roles so differently. I never see him, I only see the character he is portraying.

Hi, Dingleannie, welcome to the forum!
Totally agree that he becomes the character. He's different in everything, you never see "Damien Molony acting so and so". Brilliant!
Have you heard any of his radio work?
I'm so glad you took the leap and joined the conversation, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Nicely put, I couldn't agree more - Damien is a true talent, such an authentic actor, and just seems to channel his character so purely.
It's a delight to see him in is first web series, and always a treat to meet a new character! Alas that is probably the last we will see of Jamie, it looks like the premise of this series is a hook-up per episode for Rob.
Hi Everyone, thanks for the welcome, it was really lovely.
Yes Domino, I did. It's a long time since I've posted on a forum. I am the eternal lurker. But you were so nice sorting out my problem getting on the site that I thought why not.
I really do believe he does have a unique talent. There are only a few actors that have the talent to make you believe your are watching a character and not an actor playing a character (if you understand what i mean).
Yes Ellie, I've listened to Home Front, I'm hoping he might come back, Hardy really likes Emily and wanted to see how that pans out. I don't think there is much left of the show as 11 November was the end of the war. Fingers crossed.
So thanks again for the welcome.

Joining in is always more fun than lurking - hopefully others will follow your example Dingleannie!
We have tons of visitors every day, nearly 500 today for example, imagine how buzzing this place would be if even 10% joined the discussion! I would love that.
You're not alone in your admiration for Damien's talent, it is what has kept many of us supporting his work for years - and long may it continue!
We have a dedicated Home Front topic here, should you feel given to sharing your thoughts on it, and so we don't go too off topic in this thread
Back to Right Now, it is good to see it still up on Youtube, after Facebook removed it from Rob Cawsey's page yesterday. It is still bothering me that they it for a bare bum!
That was totes hilarious and the resulting screencaps are hhhot! DaMo in his tighty blackies is a far cry from Hal in his robe. And we get to see him up close, unlike The Hard Problem. *resists making a hard problem joke* 😉 It’s been a long time since I’ve had a proper
but in seriousness, well done to both of them. It was so funny in its awkwardness. It felt real, rather than scripted. I didn’t see the ending coming, but the wife was my favorite bit!

Great to see you on the forum whimsy! Well done, if you can teach yourself to fight small urges, you can train yourself to resist much bigger ones I only said that so I could use this emoticon -->
Yes, it has been far too long since the fangirl in us all has been unleashed!
Haha, well said, so awkward, loved the tension between the awkwardness and then the relief of the comedy moments. Good point, it did have that feel of semi improv, wonder how much was scripted?
I'm glad it's not just me who didn't see the wife moment coming, (Robs face!) and then the double twist with her knowing about his Grindr hookups. Then that line, "he's a shy one" lol!
I've watched this several times now and right now the funniest part for me is when he has stripped to his and is tapping his fingers impatiently on his thighs and puffing his breath and raising his eyebrows
Wow, that was really unexpected and a pleasant surprise. The whole episode, but also what happens in it.
I think mine is this:
I must confess, I laughed the most, as he wants to wash himself in the sink with the two taps. Because they do not exist in Germany. and every time I go to UK, I wonder about the sink with 2 taps. Because it is so impractical?!? And besides, I always scald my hands because the hot water is always very hot.
and as 2nd i thought: wow, somebody has worked out He is always well trained, but especially here.
hello Dingleannie I can only agree with you, I actually always see his character and not the actor. This shows his great talent and I find that so fascinating.
There is not a lot of info out there on Rob Caswey's new web series, but according to the little snippet from Chortle below, some are true stories (and some are not) and there will be a new ep each month. Damien is only in the first ep though.
Right Now
A new web series from comic Rob Cawsey about the trials and tribulations of Grindr dates – 'some real, some not', he says.
Cawsey writes and stars, along with Damien Molony from Being Human in the first episode, with a new instalment planned every month.
I wonder how many takes this whole 8 and a bit minutes took? And imagine the outtakes! At least Jamie showed some sensitivity when he finally realised Rob's nerves were first time nerves... otherwise he might be quite an unlikeable character with the impatience he showed to lovely Rob, if that was all he was... and I am not sure I could deal with a completely unlikeable Damien character with no other levels! Also, cleverly, it was the tension between their paces that made it so compelling and hilarious to watch. By the end of this series I wonder if Rob, who presumably would have had more experiences with Grindr hookups by then, will on the other side of this scenario?
Maybe at the end of the series Rob might put some outtakes online.
I think I'd be ok with Damien playing a character that I really disliked, even a total bastard.

Good point, you're right Ann and me too, I really enjoy watching Damien play dark characters, and dark moments, it is not whether they are 'good or bad' morally, just whether I can enjoy watching them... thinking of Hal and Paddy...who were not exactly 'nice' to other people, or acted in a 'likeable' manner (sometimes, in Hal's case! and this is a whole other discussion) but I love watching. But they have shades that draw you in... and are not a one note character. Luckily Damien has always played multilayered characters, and brings even greater depth to them by the way he plays them, I think perhaps this is more what I mean. A one note, not very nice to another person character, with no room for character development, or other sides to them, that you wouldn't have time to engage with in a short video like this, would not be as likeable for me, or as funny! It's not meant to be serious after all. But, Jamie is not all one note, fortunately, and in this context it is very funny!
