The fab news was revealed by Roisin and producer Charlotte Lewis, who both shared lovely behind the scenes photos via Instagram, in which Damien appears alongside the creator / star and director Andrew Chaplain.

Like series 1, GameFace series 2 will comprise six episodes, but will air on Channel 4 instead of E4. It will also be available again in the US via Hulu.
The show was nominated for and won a ton of awards both in the UK and the US. Roisin Conaty received well deserved praise in the press for her hilarious and heartfelt writing and portrayal of relatable Marcella, with Damien singled out as the “dreamy driving instructor” Jon.
Roisin Conaty commented “GameFace is a show very close to my heart so I am bloody over the moon we are getting to make another series and very grateful to Channel 4.”
Charlotte Lewis added “We were bowled over by the lovely response to GameFace – with so many viewers seeing a bit of themselves in Marcella! It’s fantastic that Channel 4 have given us the opportunity to make another series. We can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Channel 4 has revealed the new series “promises to deliver more laughs, more drama and more of Conaty’s own unique takes on modern life.”
The chemistry between Marcella and Jon (Joncella) was the main hook throughout the entire first series, which was left wide open for development when it concluded.
The second series takes place two years on, so we cannot wait to see how the characters will have moved on too.
Damien will return to our TV screens in GameFace series 2 later this year, an air date is yet to be announced.
