Damien attended Sky One’s Brassic launch and special screening 30 July 2019.
He joined co-creator Joe Gilgun (Vinnie) and fellow cast members Michelle Keegan (Erin), Tom Hanson (Cardy), Parth Thakerar (JJ) and Ryan Sampson (Tommo) for the event, which also featured a press Q & A.
Our fave actor will appear as the character Dylan in the brand new original Sky comedy, which is coming to Sky One and NOW TV 22 August.
I’d be in the trailer in the morning and I’d facetime with my parents, they’d say, ‘What are you doing today?’ and I’d say, ‘Today we’re being shot at by a local farmer while we try to steal his Shetland pony.’”
He comments on another scene in his recent interview with The Metro:
I remember when I read the scripts when I was meeting Joe and the director to talk about the project, one of the scripts had the guys going down into the sewer to break into a strip club. That was kind of me sold.”
The new comedy, said to be semi-autobiographical for Joe Gilgun, is set to be full of such scenes and the many “unconventional ways” the Brassic gang try “to win at life”.
Alongside the hilarity and the humour, the series is also shines a light on mental health issues, with the main character Vinnie (Joe Gilgun) having bipolar disorder.
From everything we have seen so far Brassic is going to bring it all – and then some.
