Fantastic news on watching Brassic internationally!

So far we know that Brassic has made it to audiences in France via Canal + and to Spain via Filmin.

International distributors ITV Studios are taking Brassic to MIPCOM 2019 (international TV / content market) very soon, see the ITV Press release.

The UK’s hit Sky comedy Brassic begins international journey with ITV Studios Global Entertainment

ITV Studios have announced ahead of MIPCOM Brassic has already also been sold to CBC Gem in Canada, ABC in Australia and Rialto in New Zealand!

"With several more international sales likely to close in the coming months"!

woohoo

Sky’s biggest original comedy launch in seven years, Brassic, has been sold to five new territories in the lead up to MIPCOM 2019 by ITV Studios Global Entertainment. Created by Joe Gilgun (Misfits, Preacher) and BAFTA and International Emmy®-winning writer Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless, Safe), and produced by Calamity Films (Judy, Pride), Brassic has been the subject of critical acclaim (see notes to editors) and universal adoration in the UK, having received its second season commission before the first had even premiered. The first episode of series one launched with a 7-day cumulative audience of 1.65 million, making it Sky’s biggest original comedy series launch since 2012.

Brassic will air on CBC in Canada, ABC in Australia, Rialto in New Zealand, Canal+ in France and Comunidad Film in Spain, with several more major territories sales likely to close in the coming months.

That is awesome news.  Hopefully it will make it to Youtube, Netflix, Acorn, Hulu, or BritBox for US audiences eventually.

Oh I hope so RJ, it is sounding hopeful with all these international sales already! Plus this :

"with several more major territories sales likely to close in the coming months." fingerscrossed

I've read several times about the possibility of a US version / remake, like there was with Shameless. But this is obviously not what us Damien fans want!

Gosh I hope they don't remake it.  Why do they do that? I can't think of one US remake I've enjoyed more than the British original.

I'm in full agreement with you RJ, it's the same with most film remakes too.

The essence of Brassic is Joe Gilgun, not just creating but starring, it's his passion project and it being loosely based on his real life, it would be wrong to remake it and have anyone else starring in the lead role. It's a really human story too so should translate easily to other countries.
Fingers crossed for US and everywhere else picking it up really soon! fingerscrossed
