Glad to hear about his family moving to Manchester during filming - I had wondered how on earth they would all have coped for so long with COVID restrictions.
My daughter is coming to watch Brassic (Eithne and I are going to see Riverdance and Brassic is timed nicely for her stay).
A very lovely read Ellie, I’m also glad Damien and his family were all together - such a long shoot in very challenging times.
It sounds like the filming can sometimes be brutal with the night shoots and weather being properly brassic - but also that Damien and the cast have so much fun!
He mentions how Dylan is central to the mental health strand of the show in this series and in a darker place. That reversal of roles with Vinnie looking after him instead of the other way round is going to be an interesting dynamic to watch and it is always great to see Damien develop a character in a different direction.
His comment on the Dylan Erin Vinnie love triangle is intriguing, will the series even give us a definitive answer? I’m kind of hoping not, that tension is so central to everything!
