I've been adding a ton of updates to Damien's IMDb and wikipedia pages over the past weeks, have you all checked them out recently?

I've added

More awards noms on wikipedia, and the SFX and National TV awards on imdb (latter has been accepted, SFX not yet, so I have resubmitted.)

A section on 'Blood Donation' on IMDb and wikipedia (accepted).. felt this is an important thing to highlight, considering Damien's own blood donations and all those he has inspired since 2012

'Gameface and The Current War' to Damien's filmography on IMDb (Gameface just accepted, 'The Current War' still processing) and on Wikipedia (both accepted)

'Bottle Man' to 'other works' on IMDb (still processing.. kind of frustrating how they are not ordered chronologically) and to 'other works' on Wikipedia

A photo to Damien's wiki page, with thanks to Trevor (our resident photographer), which has not been removed yet (like last time). If there are other photographers out there with more up to date photos please do add one!

Also added Damien's 2013 SFX Awards noms for Best Actor and Sexiest male to the BH wikipedia page.

Bio needs updating on IMDb to include Gameface and The Current War, bio on wiki to include TCW.

Anything else anyone can think of please let me know!

Pleased to say all the above updates have been added to Damien's IMDb page.

For the first time ever, I had to have a (very friendly) chat with IMDb about a filmography credit, they wouldn't accept Damien's Spotlight CV as evidence of 'The Current War', and wanted alternative evidence, like a mention in the trades/press. I pointed out that there are credits on The Current War page that are not at all verifiable, and that I was surprised the evidence given - an actor's personal and official CV, via Spotlight (the top casting agency for actors in the UK) - was not sufficient, and that info given there was for casting agents, fake information would simply not be added, Damien and his and the website's reputation is at stake... this is the actor's own addition to his CV and his way of announcing his involvement with the film.

I totally understand the need for reliable sources - this is what makes IMDb the high quality, credible and accurate resource that it is. As a regular contributor to Damien's page I share the same values and feel strongly that his filmography must be accurate, but also up to date. I wouldn't dream of contributing anything inaccurate for his sake! 

They reconsidered and added it, lovely people by the way, makes me appreciate the site all the more.

 

AND WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT FILMOGRAPHY!!

That really is an impressive filmography! Not to mention all of the other non film related stuff Damo's been involved in.  It's been an amazing 5 years!!!

Agree with you both, excited to see Damien's filmography growing!

Damien links to his page from Twitter, so it's only right to try to make it as accurate and up to date as poss. I'm sure his people, or the official peeps from projects he is involved in, update too, but over the years there have been frustrating gaps.

For Damien's acting credits and complete career, these pages on DMF are the best resource!

As you say fifi, there are lots of other projects Damien has been involved in, theatre, radio etc.. hopefully they are better covered on IMDb (and wikipedia) now in his updated 'other works' section on his IMDb page. (Frustrating they are not placed chronologically, but no way to change this!)

Not sure it is ever really my place to argue Damien's case, but as a fan I get itchy seeing an incomplete filmog. Happier now. For anyone wondering, it says 'filming' next to 'The Current War' because that is the status the film itself has on IMDb - not because Damien is filming. I believe the film has actually wrapped, but the TCW page won't reflect that until someone updates it.

I've been submitting a few updates to Damien's IMDb and Wikipedia pages in recent days.

On IMDb

On his filmog section Damien was listed, wrongly, for the NT Live 'King Lear' screening (my heart skipped a beat when i saw it and thought we'd missed something major!) but that has now been corrected.

To his filmog I've added 'Right Now'

To his bio I've submitted additions on 'Brassic' and 'Right Now' (not yet updated by IMDb)

 

On Wikipedia

To the filmog section I've added Damien's short films 'Making Rosebud' and 'When The Hurlyburly's Done' and his 3 NT Live performances: 'Travelling Light', 'The Hard Problem' and 'No Man's Land'.

To the TV section added 'Right Now' as a web series

To the Career section added paragraphs on 'Brassic' casting / filming and 'Right Now'

Forgot to mention, to the other works section I had already added 'Home Front'. 

 

Wondering whether to add all of Damien's WordTheatre performances to the Theatre section, or the Other Works section on both IMDb and Wiki?

 

Anything missing?

I can't wait to see GameFace 2 and Brassic on there!

I'll get on that soon Ellie On IMDb Damien's WordTheatre performances would need to be added in 'other works'. Would it be 'theatre' or 'other works' on Wikipedia? I am thinking theatre - it is on stage after all! curtains

You Learn something everyday. I knew anyone could edit Wikipedia, but I didn't realise the same about IMDB.

With Wikipedia you can edit and publish straight away, with content checked later by the community. It is slightly different with IMDb, you contribute your suggested additions and edits, which IMDb then checks, verifies as best they can and may or may not publish to the site. It can take a couple of days and often longer to appear on the site. But as we have always said here at DMF, IMDb is not official in anyway and sometimes the info is factually incorrect.

Update on Damien's IMDb and Wikipedia pages!

 

IMDb

AWARDS - I've finally managed to get IMDb to put Damien's NTA nomination for Suspects on his page. Fingers crossed this stays!

He has of course many more nominations that this, but IMDb only allow TV & film awards not theatre.

In case you missed it, there is a fully detailed page on ALL of Damien's awards on damienmolony.org (I may add it here on the forum too?) which you can view below. Please let me know if you see any errors or omissions!

FILMOGRAPHY - Brassic now appears, as I changed it to a post production project. Good to see this on Damien's IMDb filmog. IMDb also removed the mistakenly added King Lear NT Live, as mentioned in my last post in this topic. 

BIO - for some reason my bio update from ages ago still hasn't gone through so I will resubmit this. 

 

QUOTES - are there any quotes from Damien's Lovetalkin interview (work based) that we could add?

 

 

WIKIPEDIA

I've tweaked Damien's wiki bio to put Brassic as completed filming. 

Other works has become 'Audio & Radio' 

I've still not got around to adding Damien's WordTheatre performances! My bad!

Anything else we should add?

Damien's Wikipedia page updated to include latest project updates and announcement- WordTheatre 'Voices from the American Heartland', 'Brassic', 'Keep Breathing' and 'The Fabric Of You' added to filmog sections and last two paragraphs of the main section added - including GameFace 2. Always feels wrong calling Damien 'Molony' but...

All proofreads welcome!

Damien's IMDb page is looking spectacular!

I managed to add his character to The Split page, so that now appears. Only Episode 1 of the second series on on IMDb though and at this stage we don't know what eps he will be in (all of them hopefully! fingerscrossed)
