If Shine survives the beating at the boxing match he is going to be set on getting his revenge on Reid more than ever after being humiliated like that. Reid and Abberline will be watching him for any little slip now so that they can bring him down for something even if it isn't for all the things he's done so far. My idea would be that somehow Flight's knowledge of him would give them the opportunity to set some kind of trap so that Shine basically gets caught in the act so that Flight wouldn't need to testify. There is no way that Shine would trust Flight and we've seen what Shine does to people who threaten his way of life so Reid would need to protect Flight somehow even if Flight is no longer a detective. Reid would feel guilty if he let Flight go and Shine murdered him.

If Reid let Flight remain as a detective then it would cause more tension between Abberline and Reid. Abberline is set against Flight but we've seen Reid do things his own way before.

It's almost the end of the week, surely there must be news soon...

Ripper Street 3 filming moved to Dublin today, for 14 weeks.

Here's hoping that news of certain Irish cast comes very soon!

I swear that Tiger Aspect enjoy keeping us in suspense!!  And if Damien isn't mentioned then we still won't necessarily know for sure.

Sorry Molonians but there is STILL no official news on Damien's return to Ripper Street or not... so the period of uncertainty continues.

There has to be a casting announcement soon though, as rumour has it Louise Brealy (Sherlock) is joining the cast for S3, and there are sure to be more new cast/guest appearances.

That announcement will surely put the DaMo fandom out of our misery.... let's pray it comes SOOOOON!

Amazon Instant Video is Amazon's streaming/downloading service.  You can "rent" movies/shows to stream for specified time, or buy them to stream and download unlimited.  For shows, you can do this by individual episodes or whole season/series.  

Amazon Prime just means if you are a Prime member (paid yearly subscription), you have unlimited streaming at no additional cost.  If you want to download, you have to buy.  But only a selection of movies/shows are on Prime. 

I checked for U.S., Ripper Street S2 is now on Amazon Instant Video, but not on Prime.  hmm  S3 is supposed to come out on Prime. That means it will be free to watch for Prime members.  I wonder if they will do the same thing as Netflix, the entire season/series is released all at once?  Or if they will release one at a time on a schedule.  Presumably non-Prime members will be able to buy the episodes as they release them.

I've been a Prime member since they first introduced it, it's SO worth it!

IT SO IS!

STILL no casting news, but now we know Suspects filming is for June and not the whole summer, this seems a bit more of a possibility, doesn't it?

I'm thinking if Damien is in series three, then it'll be towards the end because this time last year he was already filming his role in the series. Wasn't the first series of Suspects filmed in about six weeks? If it's the same time scale then he'll be filming til around mid July-ish?

Hi Lisa, Suspects is filming for all of June, so unless there is another thing lined up we dont know about, he would be free from then to shoot for Ripper Street. All supposition of course. The suspense is becoming unbearable... when people keep asking the forum on twitter and Facebook and it is becoming more and more difficult!

Have I just missed it all, or has there been a total lack of any RS news at all? (what a huge contrast to Suspects!!) Has anyone heard if Joseph Mawle/Shine is in s3?

Whimsy,  that's a good question.  Alpha House, I think, is their only original show and it looks like they've posted them one or two at a time, so they may do that with Ripper Street as well.

I wonder if he filmed something for RS when he went to Dublin a few weeks ago. Maybe he is only in the first episode!

In answer to your question fifi, there has been no big casting announcement for the upcoming series yet at all, only features mentioning the main returning cast. When this finally arrives we will know one way or another, we were told it was coming a few weeks ago so......

Nice thought Pearl1 but filming had not moved to Dublin at that point.

However guys... they are filming well into August so there IS still time IF Damien is going to be in S3!

I'm still keeping the faith that we will see Flight in S3! It seems more likely now that we know it will fit in with filming for Suspects.

Anyone see the photos of the filming at the beach outside Dublin? My mind is whirring with how that story is going to play out!

We knew from Twitter a while back, but it has been officially announced that Louise Brealey, who plays Molly in Shelrock, will be joining the cast of Ripper Street.

STILL no news on Damien.. sorry guys I have really done my best to find out. But this news takes me further away from the belief that Flight will be back.

They're going to start the series with a vague reference to Flight having been hanged, I just know it. *cries*

Sorry being kind of a lemon lemon here but... I'm really hoping for a Flight redemption and I'm afraid my hopes are going to be dashed.
