Damien Molony being adorable, sending me a message from Dublin because my client is rubbing it in big time that he's out there hanging out with Damien and I'm not lol. 😍 😍 😍 pic.twitter.com/3m4qfi5Cem
Damien Molony has told how he had to film a raunchy sex scene in a portaloo with Michelle Keegan just hours after meeting her for the first time.
The pair star in edgy new comedy Brassic which is set to land on Sky One this autumn.
Molony, 34, revealed he rang his mum and told her about his steamy scenes with the former Coronation Street star.
The Kildare actor, who is best known for his role as DC Albert Flight in BBC’s Ripper Street, said: “I used to ring my mum in the trailer and she asked, ‘What are you doing today?’
“I had to say, ‘It’s day one and I’ve never met this girl before and I have to get into a f*****g portaloo with her and have sex.”

In the extract below the highlighted line stands out - more on the portaloo scene and... THEY HAVE SEEN IT?!!! OH so lucky! There must have been some footage at the showcase on Tuesday!
Friends since a very young age, Damien Molony (Ripper Street) plays Dylan, who is best friends with Vinnie, played by Joe Gilgun (This is England), who has bipolar disorder. The lads and their friends have dealt, bribed, scammed and conned their way through adolescence but as adulthood approaches, their dealing and stealing is beginning to catch up with them and a whole load of trouble is heading their way.
That trouble includes Dylan's new love interest, Erin, who is played by Michelle Keegan (Our Girl) and the pair also engage in an awkward but hilarious portaloo sex scene, which, having seen it, JOE can testify that it's something viewers won't forget in a hurry.
Lol Ellie! For me enthusiasm never wains, even if Damien is not actually on the screen or stage there is still plenty to fangirl over, so I never understand why the forum would ever be totally quiet! But bring it on I say!
So, everyone is being very quiet about this portaloo sex scene! I mean! for me the premise alone makes me giggle, and the whole thing is going to be utterly hilarious! Can you imagine though this being the scene you have to film first, with someone you have only just met? You'd totally have to bring your A game!
Damien attending the Sky launch was the highlight of the week for me, all the lovely photos, the new info revealed and also seeing Damien in the spotlight as the only 'Brassic' cast member promoting the show at this event!
how about you guys? Lots of people are checking out this topic, it would be really awesome to hear from you all!

ITV Studios Global Entertainment, who are handling international distribution, have 'Brassic' listed in their 'Spring' slate? ooh! This may not mean a spring premiere though. UK /Ireland release has been suggested for summer / Autumn.
Written by BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst (Clocking Off, Accused), Brassic (6 x 60’) is an edgy, bold and authentic comedy which follows a group of working-class friends who find unconventional ways to win at life. Vinnie (Joseph Gilgun, This Is England), a Lancashire lad with bipolar disorder, and Dylan (Damien Molony, Ripper Street), his razor-smart best mate star in this Calamity Films Production for Sky One.
Matt Brown, Core’s Managing Director told Prolific North that because the show is being delivered in ultra high definition, high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos, Core had to invest in its infrastructure to complete the brief.
“We upgraded the Dubbing Theatre to a Dolby Atmos configuration including Dolby Renderer, and we upgraded the Davinci Resolve Grade Suite with a powerful Scan 3XS crate to give us full realtime playback on files up to 8k.
"We also added the Dolby Vision plugin to our HDR-SDR conversion workflow, but perhaps our biggest investment was on the Eizo ColourEdge Prominence (CG3145) monitor, which is 4K,1000nit HDR capable.
Brown said that he believed the post house was the first in the North to meet these specs.
Yes, Damien's birthday, domino 😁
Would love an early release of 'Brassic', although Summer would be fine. I suppose what we get is a 2019 release as definite! Just want to see Damien on tv again in a new, strong role.
"Just want to see Damien on tv again in a new, strong role." Yes! Oh I hope so! Dylan is a main character and the episodes are an hour long, so this is what we are going to get!
The only concern for me is it is not on mainstream tv only streaming, but, the latter is becoming the norm now, so perhaps not a bad thing. Sky are also at the top of their game with tv drama right now, A Discovery Of Witches, Big Little Lies, Curfew, not forgetting the massive Game Of Thrones...and loads more. I am probably the only person in the UK without Sky, but will switch my Netflix subscription to NOW TV for Brassic.
