It's more than a single episode Domino, he's bounced between Dublin and London since that first picture surfaced. The chap who tweeted it said in an earlier tweet that he'd been filming with Damien as well as, i think Jerome Flynn so i doubt it was a costume fitting, but i do understand your reticence. My gut is telling me that this is more than a single episode and it's very good for him, a BBC One prime time drama on a prime time day of the week...if he wasn't noticed because of Being Human, he certainly will be now!.
This has flipped me from cautious optimism to overexcited certainty. Glenn Speers original tweet (it's at the top of this topic) was on the 1st may...and if he was on set, with damien, Jerome Flynn and extras, then they must have been filming. If damien is still filming now, it seems that he has been on and off all the time inbetween, so it must be....a few episodes! Surely!!
Domino - well, there's the "or something".......now we just need the picture!
What a change good news makes. Maybe he's just doing pick ups ... I think it's more likely that he's simply in the show, in some substantial recurring way. Hurrah!

Or, to steal a quote, "WOOOOOOBLOODYHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" - just about covers it! I'm all tied up waiting to see some pics. I wish we could at least get some idea of when we can expect to see something - January is just soo far away....
If they copy last year's airdate then the earliest we can expect to see it is between Christmas and New Year but i wouldn't be surprised, given it's popularity that it airs shortly after the New Year. New series/seasons of shows seem to air either September time or New Year on the BBC.
UJ - Damien in a Ripper Street trailer for christmas...what a wonderful present! I suspect it'll be a lot easier to catch a Ripper St trailer than it was a Being Human one - which were rather elusive. But the pessimist in me is already anticpating the frustration of him not being in one!!
BBC1 dramas tend to get a lot of coverage pre the series starting, especially big Sunday night dramas, so hopefully there'll be loads of stuff around.
Also, if it starts during the Christmas period (22nd Dec - 2nd Jan), then it's bound to be included in the Christmas montage trails that are shown all the time through December.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see the first trailers before Christmas, maybe even a hint around October/November time with a 'coming soon' attached to it.
I have no idea why this piece of info is in my head...but ripper st started on 30 dec last year. I reckon if series 2 is due to run at the same time, they would still say 2014...... And it seems that the BBC likes to change their minds, right up to the last minute!
I'm sure I saw a tweet from Myanna Buring saying that she'd finished another block last week, so maybe there are four blocks of filming and there's a gap before anyone needs to be back on set? We sooo need a Dublin person to keep us updated!
Period costume suits him well il padrino. It is easy to imagine him on the victorian streets somehow!
we are all longing to find out more, but it is fun imagining......for those of us who have seen series 1, we know there is a rich array of characters in this drama, there is so much potential there and many possibilities. My current wondering is about Damien's accent again....which one will he use? or maybe something we have never heard before!
